Global High School 2016-17 Term 3:
Views from Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown
We have arrived in BEAUTIFUL Queenstown, New Zealand. Our apartment style (spacious) lofts are on the water, with large terraces that offer a stunning view of lake Wakatipu and the mountains that paint the sky in the background. We are equipped with a full kitchen in each apartment, personal laundry facilities, and living rooms. Life is good.
The way in from Dunedin was a restful and scenic bus ride with a stop at the famous Mrs. Jones Orchard where we bought some fresh fruit and homemade ice cream.
Now in Queenstown, we are in THE place for adventure sports and I promise that we won’t disappoint. Some of us are bungee jumping and skydiving this weekend!!! Jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet…easy right? Jumping off a bridge at 150 feet…also easy, yes? I hope so, because I know I will need all of the encouragement I can get! 🙂
We have a nice few weeks planned for the students with amazing cuisine ahead: Ferburger (a MUST in Queenstown), Thai, Italian, Indian, and more.
The students also have academics to focus on, as midterms are due very soon. The teachers are working hard during classes and study hall to ensure that everyone is up to speed and ready for the upcoming quizzes and assignments. Fun teachers, excellent lessons, and a beautiful environment. You can’t get any better than this, folks.
Many more updates to come! We love New Zealand!!!
